Job Description: AKS Deployment & Kubernetes Administration

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced professional to design, deploy, and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters for enterprise workloads, with a strong focus on Kubernetes cluster administration and GitOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• AKS Deployment & Management
• Design, deploy, and manage AKS clusters for enterprise-grade workloads.
• Configure cluster networking, ingress controllers, DNS, and load balancing.
• Optimize scalability, high availability, and cost efficiency for AKS workloads.
• Implement Azure Policy , RBAC, and security best practices for Kubernetes environments.
• Automate AKS provisioning using Terraform and GitHub Actions .
• Kubernetes Cluster Administration
• Administer AKS cluster components (API server, etcd, controller manager, scheduler).
• Design and manage cluster networking , including CNI plugins (Calico).
• Configure and maintain GitOps components (Flux) for AKS deployments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cluster health, performance, and resource utilization.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for Kubernetes clusters.
• CI/CD & GitOps
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes applications using GitHub Actions .
• Manage GitOps workflows with Flux for automated deployments.
• Kustomization with Flux
• Integrations & Tools
• Experience integrating and working with NGINX ingress controller and Calico networking .
• Exposure to Solr is a plus.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in AKS, Azure Infrastructure, and DevOps.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes cluster administration and AKS operations.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform , GitHub Actions, and GitOps tools.
• Solid understanding of networking in Kubernetes , including CNI plugins.
• Knowledge of security best practices for Kubernetes and Azure environments.
